BTA Foundation Closes Oyinbo Farmer Registration, Commences Screening of Applicants

The BTA Foundation has officially closed the registration phase for its highly anticipated Oyinbo Farmer Scheme and has begun the screening process for the numerous applicants who have shown interest. This initiative, aimed at providing much-needed relief and opportunities for individuals in the agri – business sector, has garnered attention and participation from aspiring farm businessmen across.
The Oyinbo Farmer Scheme was meticulously designed to cushion the effects of economic hardship, teach beneficiaries a reliable stream of income, offering a lifeline to those struggling to make ends meet. The scheme promises to empower individuals by equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge, resources, and support to thrive in the agricultural business industry. The foundation’s goal is not only to alleviate immediate financial pressures but also the long-term sustainability and growth within the community.
According to BTA Foundation, the overwhelming response to the registration which has 387 applicants is a call to the dire need for such initiatives. “We are thrilled by the number of applications we received. It reflects the enthusiasm and readiness of our people to embrace agriculture and the business as a viable means of livelihood,” said, BTA media Team.
The screening process, which has now commenced, will be thorough and strategic, ensuring that the most deserving and committed individuals are selected for the program. Applicants will undergo a series of evaluations, including interviews and assessments of their farming knowledge (if any), their interest and knowledge of the value chain process and potential.
The foundation has assured that the process will be transparent and fair, aimed at identifying those who will make the best use of the opportunities provided.
The BTA Foundation has always been at the forefront of community development and poverty alleviation. The Oyinbo Farmer Scheme is yet another example of their dedication to making a positive impact. By focusing on agriculture, the foundation aims to address food security issues and empower individuals through self-sufficiency and entrepreneurship.
*Participants in the scheme will benefit from comprehensive training programs covering modern farming techniques, sustainable practices, and business management. Additionally, they will receive practical branding knowledge and experience, learn how to sell food to both individual homes and Companies within Nigeria, learn how to export and sell foodstuffs to Nigerians abroad as well as ongoing support and mentorship from agricultural experts. This holistic approach ensures that beneficiaries are well-equipped to succeed and contribute meaningfully to the agricultural sector.*
Ten (10) beneficiaries will also be granted start up support of Fifty Thousand (N50,000) Naira each as take – off grants.
The closure of the registration phase is a milestone in the Oyinbo Farmer Scheme’s timeline. As the foundation releases the list of successful applicants on the 17th of August 2024, the foundation remains committed to its mission of transforming lives and creating opportunities.
