The President of the BTA Foundation and a grassroots democrat, Amofin Titilope Akogun has sent a message of sympathy and condolences to the family of the President of the 8th Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki over the death of their matriarch, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, who died on Tuesday afternoon.
In a condolence message released by his office on Wednesday, Amofin Akogun described the death of the matriarch as painful not only to her immediate family but to all who encountered her and felt her warmth and philanthropy.
The President asked the former Senate President to find strength in the knowledge that Mama lived to an advanced age and to continue to cherish the good name she left behind.
“We thank God for the invaluable roles played by the deceased matriarch in raising exemplary children, particularly our indefatigable leader, and for her tireless service to Almighty God and her community.
“My heart goes to the family at this moment. I pray for Almighty Allah to repose the soul of their departed matriarch,” he said.
